Reading this site means accepting what follows. It is short, because this is a website that publishes articles, not a service with accounts and payments.
What this site is
Seaway Forge publishes editorial coverage of business software used by small home-service companies. It is operated by Chris Carlin in Massena, New York, United States. Details of who writes it and how it is put together are on the about page.
The information is not advice
Articles here are general commentary and opinion. They are not accounting, tax, legal, or professional advice, and they are not a substitute for it. Software that handles your invoicing, payment processing, or customer records affects your books and, depending on your jurisdiction and trade, your regulatory obligations. Decisions about your business are yours, and you should take them with your own accountant or advisor.
Accuracy, and where it ends
Prices, plan names, and feature descriptions are quoted from vendors' own pages, with the retrieval date shown in each article's Sources section. Software vendors reprice and rename plans constantly, and a figure that was right the day it was checked may be wrong by the time you read it. Always confirm the current price on the vendor's own site before you buy anything.
Where an article states a judgment — that a tool is oversized for a one-truck shop, or that a category solves the wrong problem — that is opinion, offered as such. If you believe something here is factually wrong, please say so. Corrections get made.

This site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Articles link to software vendors and other third parties. Those sites are not under our control, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
